Brass Band of Battle Creek 2022 Performances and Youth Education Events

BBBC Spring Concert, May 21 - W.K.Kellogg Auditorium, Battle Creek

A Gilmore Young Artist and a brass band?! What more could you want! 2018 Gilmore Young Artist Wei Luo performs Tchaikovsky’s Piano Concerto No. 1, 1st Movement, with the Brass Band of Battle Creek. The concert’s second half features the incredible music of iconic American Composer John Williams.

High School Youth Brass Band Camp, July 11-15 - W.K.Kellogg Auditorium, Battle Creek

A 5-day BBBC youth education opportunity for brass and percussion students in grades 8-12. Faculty includes BBBC Resident Conductor Michael J. Garasi and BBBC musicians. Free end-of-camp concert: July 15, 6pm

Middle School Youth Brass Band Camp, July 18-20 - Marshall High School Auditorium for Performing Arts, Marshall

A 3-day BBBC youth education opportunity for brass and percussion students in grades 6-8. Faculty includes BBBC musician Demondrae Thurman and BBBC Education Director Jerry Rose as co-conductors and BBBC musicians. Free end-of-camp concert • July 20, 6pm

BBBC Holiday Concert, December 3 - W.K.Kellogg Auditorium, Battle Creek

The concert that serves as a time-honored start of the holiday season for so many, the world-renowned Brass Band of Battle Creek welcomes Battle Creek’s own Doug Labrecque to join in the celebration. Together they share classics old and new to provide an evening of unforgettable moments.
