The Brass Band of Battle Creek’s annual Holiday Concert at W.K. Kellogg Auditorium has become a beloved tradition and marks the start of the holiday season for many in our audience. The BBBC brings many of the world’s best brass and percussion performers to Battle Creek each year to create inspiring and entertaining programs, and the 2025 Holiday Concert promises to be one of the best ever!
The first half of the 2025 concert will include excerpts from Ravel’s beautiful ballet Daphnes and Chloe, Rossini’s William Tell Overture, and a new brass band version of Alpine Leap composed by BBBC cornetist and Juilliard professor Brandon Ridenour. The second half will feature traditional and jazz versions of great holiday favorites, including Leroy Anderson’s Sleigh Ride, a Basie-inspired version of Good Swing Wenceslaus, and poignant settings of Away in the Manger and Silent Night. As always, there will be featured and impromptu solos by many of the great musicians from the all-star roster of the BBBC, all inspired by the leadership of Resident Conductor Michael J. Garasi.
Please join us for this warm, entertaining, and family-friendly evening of world-class music. If you are a returning audience member, we hope that you will invite friends who have not yet experienced the power and beauty of the mighty Brass Band of Battle Creek!
